Scripture says,"God is effectually at work in those who believe." Notice, His power is activated only when we believe. God can work on your behalf your whole lifetime and you never really get the full benefit of it because you didn't believe. Sure, you may get a break here and there, but when you really believe, when you really get up everyday expecting good things, you're going to see more of God's favor. You're going to see what He's been doing behind the scenes.
In the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." Romans 1:17
